Maritime security software · Controlled prototype

One operating picture across the maritime domain.

TRIDENT brings sensing inputs, multi-source correlation, controlled classification hypotheses, human review, response planning and mission reporting into a single operator-centered workflow.

The platform

From fragmented observations to traceable decisions.

Maritime operators often work across separate sensor feeds, external data sources, classification tools and response systems. TRIDENT demonstrates how these inputs can be organized into one reviewable mission workflow.

The prototype preserves source context, evidence references, classification history, operator decisions, simulated approvals and structured outcomes without presenting a machine-generated hypothesis as an established identity, intent or threat.

  • Unified operational picture
  • Controlled classification hypotheses
  • Human-gated decisions
  • Append-only mission history
  • Structured review reports
  • Modular integration architecture

Operator workflow

A clear path from observation to review.

Each stage preserves what is established, what remains unknown and what requires a human decision.

  1. 01

    Sense

Bring qualified observations and public context into a common workspace while preserving source, time and provenance.

  2. 02

    Correlate

Associate related observations without treating correlation as proof of identity, intent or threat.

  3. 03

    Classify

Present controlled platform hypotheses and supporting evidence for operator review.

  4. 04

    Human review

Preserve alternative explanations, limitations, revisions and the basis for each human disposition.

  5. 05

    Decide

Record an explicit operator decision and its rationale before a response option can advance.

  6. 06

    Respond

Review a separately authorized simulated response plan. The prototype does not transmit commands or execute physical actions.

  7. 07

    Report

Generate a deterministic Mission Review Report containing the timeline, classifications, evidence, decisions, outcome and audit history.

Technology ecosystem

Independent capabilities.
One controlled workflow.

TRIDENT is designed as an integration environment. The current software demonstration represents the following technology directions without claiming live physical integration.

Concept illustration of a distributed maritime sensor network.

Distributed sensing architecture

AMDEE

A distributed maritime sensing architecture centered on autonomous nodes, modular sensors and resilient networked awareness. In the current TRIDENT prototype, AMDEE is represented as a simulated sensing layer supporting surface and subsurface context.

Simulated integration
Concept illustration of a semi-submerged autonomous maritime platform.

Maritime platform direction

Ship’s Hunter

A reusable semi-submerged autonomous maritime platform direction designed around low-signature operation, modular mission configuration and human-authorized tasking. In the prototype, Ship’s Hunter appears only as a simulated response option.

Simulated response option
Concept illustration of an integrated air-domain sensing architecture.

Air-domain architecture

ARGUS

An open and modular air-domain architecture intended to connect sensing, decision support and compatible Counter-UAS technologies. In TRIDENT, ARGUS is represented as a simulated response option for a controlled air-domain scenario.

Simulated response option
Concept illustration of an autonomous subsea monitoring platform.

Subsea platform direction

HYDRA

An autonomous subsea platform direction for inspection, monitoring and situational awareness around underwater infrastructure. Its applicability remains scenario-dependent and it is not activated when the mission domain does not support it.

Contextual technology

Connected context

Built to connect qualified data sources.

Where providers are available, TRIDENT can request current public maritime, aviation, weather and environmental context through server-side adapters. Provider observations remain visibly separate from simulated mission objects.

  • AISStream
  • ADSB.lol
  • NOAA CO-OPS / PORTS
  • National Weather Service

Public context does not independently establish identity, affiliation, intent or threat. Provider availability, freshness and provenance remain visible to the operator.

Human control

Decision support without hidden autonomy.

TRIDENT separates observation, correlation, classification, authorization and outcome. A completed software workflow is not presented as a completed physical mission.

Operator decisions remain explicit and reviewable. Earlier records are preserved when evidence changes, and unresolved identity, intent or physical effect remain unresolved in the final report.

PROTOTYPE BOUNDARIES

  • Classification hypotheses require human review.
  • Response geometry appears only after recorded simulated approval.
  • No real-world command path is enabled.
  • No real transmission is performed.
  • No physical effect is claimed.
  • The interface is not for navigation or operational deployment.
